Summer Action

This Indiana family was vacationing in Minnesott Beach celebrating daughter Madison graduation from high school. She loves fishing and wanted to go – we did.

Started with a fun top water time catching the rock. They are everywhere. What a blast and explosion! Dad Chris stuck a nice slot drum on top water also.

Then on to trout.  Got on a strong bite – almost every cast – but small trout on DOAread full article

10 Years!

As I look back at my 10 years of retirement and the same as a guide and shop owner, I have experienced much good and bad. I have seen big and small shops come and go and I am still here. I have seen the number of guides multiply drastically and I am blessed with the best clientele I could ask for. I have learned that being honest with customers and providing good customer service is the key toread full article

Big Fish being Had

As we get the winds of March out of the way we will see water and air temperatures easing up. This will put fish on the move. The trout that have been providing some great action back in the creeks will begin to ease out towards the river and sound. Their winter hibernation will be over. They will also be more in the “Let’s Eat” mode as their metabolism picks up. Look to find them in the outerread full article

2016 in Nut Shell

With 2016 in the past I look back at what we had. Fishing had its ups and downs but managed to get some good trips in. I did cancel a lot due to not good fishing and I don’t take some ones money just because. If I have doubts we won’t go. Can’t guarantee fish but sometimes it’s almost impossible. I gave clients the option. Bookings looking good starting out this year with one group trip plannedread full article
