Minnesott Beach Fishing Reports

Friday, July 29, 2011

Late July Update

Well, been a while since I reported. Been slow at best with heat, wind and no water.

Took another trip out of the area fishing Little River SC. Michael and myself had some flounder, drum and black drum. A little better than our fisheries by traveling just a few miles south.

I set up a wedding party fishing trip for the Bettis family out of River Dunes last week. We scattered from sound to Dawson Creek and had a few slot fish; 2 trout and 3 drum. I think they had a good time just getting out in the water.

Flounder is still the big news with a lot of them being caught around piers, rocks and structure in the river. Baits of choice has been Gulp, Deep Creek and mud minnows. I have had decent reports of keeper fish too.

Old Drum should be showing up really soon. I have had reports of some in sound. My morning effort today showed good sign but no drum. It’s time to get your gear ready. I can re-spool your reels or set you up with a new Penn Slammer Combo. I keep plenty of Lupton rigs and chum in stock and will be taking fresh mullet as of 12 August.

For you hunters, I can fix you up with ammo, cross bow and accessories. Call me with you request for pricing.

Don’t forget all the other gear I carry and install at discounted prices.

Booking Old Drum trips now – call to reserve you day. Conditions are right and the way this summer is going anything’s possible. Call me to get booked.

Be Safe on the water.
