Labor Day Report

imageimageimage

Drum is still the word with bait hard to get. Hurricane and Labor Day has come and gone with loads of us out searching for the Ole Drum.

Lil Lady Kessler caught her first slot Labor Day weekend – she wanedt to fish with her 202! Wow what a ride or Strip that would have been.

Michael had a 47 to add to his catches w/ this fish toting a tag his is calling in – will be interesting to see where and size at time of tagging.

Lady Flydaddy got her first Old Drum and sure looks better that pretty boy Flydaddy!!!!

Carried my brother, wife and grandson Sunday – Hooked into one that I wanted my grandson to handle – OOPS – too much and we ended up lossing it – felt like a nice fish but who knows – he was upset.

Weather looks ok for this coming weekend for local clubs Drum Tournament and Houston Wallaces Kayak Tournament. You canget into his event via - http://web.me.com/ebwjrw/tctournament.com/Welcome.html
I will be there supporting him as weigh master.

Please call me early to order your mullets. Been hard to fill this year but doing my best to get you FRESH stuff. Most use 20/25# a trip. I also have a good supply of chum, Penn Slammer Combos and lupton rigs.

Big drum trips available and can also be scheduled. I prefer late afternoon returning around dark. Call for details.

Still pushing our Pamlico County Shrine Club Trout Tournament coming up Oct. 23rd. It will be another fun event with loads of prizes and cash. There is a conflict that has just come to my knowledge. This being our 3rd year – now CCA is scheduling on our same day an Inside/Out Event. Hope all that have supported us will continue and we are growing – as anyone who has fished it on the fun and prizes. After this year 50% of proceeds from your entries and sponsors donation will go to the Shriners Childrens Hospitals; which I am proud to say, my grandson is now a shriner child and patient there.

Please remember to handle Ole Drum as little as possible – keeping them in water for measurement and pictures if possible to give them a much better chance of survival – these guys and gals are in the 50 year old catergory.

Safe fishing and remember OUR KIDS
