Calm Day on Neuse!

Had Team Semper Fi abroad today - Gunny Jason Knudsen and Sgt Daniel Freyburger. They do better defending our country than fishing!!! We managed few small trout and a major slam of rock, trout, drum and flounder with slam of trout drum and flounder all legal. Good eats. All on DOA Lures. The Terroeyz in Golden Beam took the Drum and Flounder - they inhaled it as rock do. Get some. Weather looks tough after Sat am so stop in and see my specials on Mirrolures, DOA, and rod/reel combos (http://www.pamlicotackle.com). Will be open Sunday too. Have a safe and great Memorial Day and remember to that our troop's - it is their day

Day in Ocean

Had a great fun US day with Joe Ward in Atlantic chasing Brownies (Cobia). Loads of bait balls and boats. Did stick1 good tablefare size. Love it out there - Nice run throough the intercaostal and time in blue water.

Wet Day on the Neuse

To tough Long Islander veterans came to town to learn and fish our waters. Been planned for several months and weather sucked. Canked day one but roughed it out dodging lightning and getting soaked a couple of times on day 2. Started early with a nice 19 slot drum for Torre on DOA Deadly Combo rigged with DOA CAL curl tail. Then it was to my porch for coffee and wait the lightning show out. Back out and chased small trout around providing a bend in Torre and Mikes rod for some fun. Had 2 very small – about 8 inch – trout that were hungry for DOA Deadly Combo also. May be signs of some future for us. They got to see our fishery in some of the worst condition; West winds, stormy and poor stock status. They enjoyed enough they are coming back to try the Big Drum though. Fileted the drum for them and arranged for a restaurant to cook it for them. Fresh at best. They enjoyed their stay at Neuse River Suites as well with Stuart providing great services.
