Tday Update

What a busy T’Day week!

Out Monday with Robert and Eddy for their first top water rock adventure. Had a blast with several slot rock knocking the Storm Chug Bug out of the water.

Tuesday was a shop day with me and my right hand JB out to chase rock and trout. Managed a couple of nice rock with 1 tagged trout and one for the pan.

T’day was tough - brothers and in law boat out for the morning. One broken MotorGuide W75 and zero. Back home to repair disaster and enjoy food & family.

Friday was another first for these top water anglers. Rick, Tommy and Marge joined me for an afternoon on the water and man was the weather great. We started out afternoon on some trout, most under slot with one nice fish lost at the boat. Then it was on to the topwater rock action. We fished two locations landing a number of slot and small fish, giving them the ultimate experience of the blow-ups!

Oh, Fred landed his first citation trout with a 5.6#er too - My shop first citation for the year - way low this year.

Action should continue to improve.

Shop still open normal hours until 15 December then call for your needs/wants. Tackle show time coming up; let me share my show discounts on your trolling motors, talons, electronics and such. All hunting needs other than guns too!

Have available charter bookings - come join in the fun.

I will also have a booth at Raleigh Fishing Expo first weekend in January. Will have a small assortment of my favorite rods (TFO/Kunnan), reels and baits. Also promoting my KneEDeeP Custom Charters. I will offer a 10% discount to any charter booking at the show for 2012 season. Come see me their.

On the safety side - cold water means trouble if you fall over. Be extra careful and a good idea to have a dry change on board.

A Day Off

Never a day off - shop close - out today chasing trout.

Caught probably 30 fish, tagging about 20 others too small and tagging these 3 for me. Great day on the water.

How about my man Zac Bruno. Couldn’t wait for me to get off the water to weigh his big catch - ALMOST a citation at 4.5 lb. Keep an eye on this guy - he’s going places!!!!

I have plenty of openings for charters chasing these guys and also rock. It’s turned into a great season that no one expected.

Rock Attack

Not to take away from our great trout bite bu there’s a short Rock story.

Got out at daylight to try to snag a rock around local creeks shore fishing prior to opening. This 26” (coastal) fish couldn’t stand the Rockin Wobble. Slammed it and no turning back - stew pot next.

This combination is deadly and sooo easy to use. No added action needed and if rock are around they are yours.

I will be at the Raleigh Fishing Show in January with a good supply. If you need them now, call me and I can ship these reasonably.

Hot Trot Action

No charters first of the week but hitting water hard.

Assisted Tim Ellis Monday with trout tracking catches in local creeks Monday. Found some nice fish for him you use for his study.

Fished another creek with my soon to be son in law Michael Tuesday PM and found good numbers and some real nice trout. It was a late bite but WOW!

Michael fished another creek Tuesday AM and found solid catches getting his limit and releasing numbers too.

Good reports of larger rock in New Bern too.

Season is in high gear. Get out and enjoy what we didn’t expect this year. Could be last week of current limits. Watch for news of Commission approve changes to 4 fish; possibly starting Monday.

I have all your bait & tackle needs here at shop and have plenty of charter openings too.

Stop by or call.

Trout & Rock!!!

What a week with cooler water temps, rain and wind!

I had Earl and Charlie Friday and Saturday mornings. hey came from Maryland to fish OUR waters. We fished creeks

Friday in the monsoon rains and had a great morning with some nice 2-3# trout and several small taggers. Rain don’t

stop hungry fish. Then we were up to New Bern Saturday AM rockin’; and I mean ROCKIN’. WE braved the winds and

found some lee shores to target rock that were a little slow. We did manage a couple of slot fish for their table.

My right hand man - JB - got out this week late one day and had an excellent bite - caught good numbers and size

fish. Many other good reports in all the Neuse River Creeks.

Be sure to stay tuned to up-coming Fisheries trout rule changes possibly this week - I will not spread rumors so

stay tuned. Rumors do sound fair to all.

I have charter openings to target these fish - come on while the bite is good.
