Oct 27 Update

Windy but active weekend - Check out this 7.68# Gator. Larger to come! Several reports of nice fish caught by those fighting wind. White Gulp shrimp and live shrimp main taker this weekend. Also had Mt Airy gang in neighborhood this weekend. Talk about hard core fishermen. Surf fished Atlantic Beach Friday with a nice catch of sea mullet, pompano and Blow Toads. One citation pompano at 2#.

Ms Debbie landed her fish rock and is excited as you see, 4.6#.
Pretty week ahead and cooler weather too. Look into creeks for those trout and try some topwater action.

Don’t let cold wind and rain stop some fun! Got out while front passing and had a blast with live shrimp. Loads of puppy drum and rock with one slot fish at 26”/6.5#. Got into small trout later to top of trip. Slow start to non-stop action. And if any of you call Dennis a friend, ask Reggie about his fishing characteristics!Alot of trout around in good size range if you can find and get on them. Brads 5.38# trout was hoping to knock Jeff to 3rd in my tournamnet only to place in 3rd. Cold snap should only make better. Mirrolures my bait of choice but live shrimp (I have) is like candy to a baby.Shrine Club Trout Tournament this coming Saturday Oct 25. Early $50 entry ends Wednesday with fee going to $75. Kids under 16 $25 and need to bring them out. Loads of prizes even if you dont place in money.Later

Heres to current 1st place in my tournament, Capt Owens 6.8 lb’er. He knocked Jeff down to 2nd with his 5.8 lb’er. Then you have Queeny who isn’t in tournament weighing in her first citaion at 5 lb. See Jeff and Quenny in weighin photo gallery. Alot of nice fish but larger to come. Slow week for most, myself included. Fish up and down river with limits found by some. Should pick back up with weather change. I am carrying live shrimp not until end of November for live baiters. Excellent supply of Mirrolures and Corkies too.

Shrine Club Tournament getting close - get signed up soon to not miss fun and prizes.
