Long Needed Update

Hopefully now the weather will warm and winds die down.

The trout and drum are wanting to move and this week should get it going. I did a short cast or too this afternoon before another scheduled function.

Found a few nice trout and one slot rock - All on DOA Deadly Shrimp. Water was low but few hungry fish on the prowl with rock in the box. This was one purdy Speckled snaggle tooth. Get readyread full article

Early December Update

The trout and rock bite has been great. The new Storm Arashi Cover Pop has been doing the deal for both. After the topwater bite the DOA CAL baits twitched along the bottom seems to work best in this cooler waters.

Now on to my adventures:

I did my first trip to South Texas in search of Big Trout and 1st Annual DOA Lures Writer Event. What an experience to say the least.

Drum Season Report

If I had to rate this year 1-10 I would give it a 8. The bait again this year didnt pile in as normal and what did ran upriver to New Bern. We still had a good season with just a few no fish days. The PROVEN DOA Popping Cork Rig still doing the job. On to trout!

Looks to be a great season on trout and rock - booking trips as we speak.

August Update

Well, a lot of folks have said  I havent posted lately. Reason is not a lot to brag about. I dont post unrealistic stuff.  There has been a great top water bite going on early and late for trout, drum and rock. Varies from day to day what you may catch but the explosions are awesome. The new DOA PT7 has been working well along with the Strom Chug Bugs.

Old drum is a sore subject right now - hoperead full article
