Feb 1 Report

Been a busy Jan doing Henrys Tackle Show and wife dragging me off for a week. Havent been able to report what has been a fair winter month for trout.

Mid December Trout Information

Dont have much to offer, fishing strange and can be slow. Some good fish being caught by a few, alot of skunks - me included. Have to have patience and fish slow. If you get on fish you will probably catch more than 1! Mirrolures and live minnows working best. Will update through winter as soon as I have something to report.

Trout Starting to Gang Upimage

Has been numbers of limits with some large fish mixed in and also some skunks. If you are in the right place with the right bait you’re in for a blast. Live shrimp was rocking but cold weather has cut them off. Mirrodines have been the bait of choice in colors from EC, 26, 18 or chbl. Pamlico County Early Nov Report

Hot,Hot Hot. Trout turning on hopefully getting acclimated to cooler weather. Many limits this weekend in Neuse and Pamlico creeks. Some nice fish reported but no Hogs. Baits of chose have been Gulp and live shrimp. Thanks to all anglers, I have been running out but will restock as often as my source can handle.

Pamlico County Shrine Club Speckled Trout tournament Results

Pamlico County Shrine Club held their 2nd Annual Speckled Trout Tournament Saturday November 1 2008. Anglers were greeted to excellent weather for a change. There were 43 anglers and 4 junior anglers participating in the event; a 50% gain from 1st year. Oct 27 Update

Windy but active weekend - Check out this 7.68# Gator. Larger to come! Several reports of nice fish caught by those fighting wind. White Gulp shrimp and live shrimp main taker this weekend. Also had Mt Airy gang in neighborhood this weekend. Talk about hard core fishermen. Surf fished Atlantic Beach Friday with a nice catch of sea mullet, pompano and Blow Toads. One citation pompano at 2#.

Reschedule Pamlico County Shrine Club trout Tournament

Based on US Coast Guard recommendation and SCA winds 20-30 knots Saturday - Now Nov 1 - still early entry fee of $50 through Oct 29. Another chance due to weather to join the fun. Fish are there - you have to get out and catch them - I will provide all your bait and tackle needs.

Oct 18 Report

Don’t let cold wind and rain stop some fun! Got out while front passing and had a blast with live shrimp. Loads of puppy drum and rock with one slot fish at 26”/6.5#. Got into small trout later to top of trip. Slow start to non-stop action. And if any of you call Dennis a friend, ask Reggie about his fishing characteristics!Alot of trout around in good size range if you can find and get on them.read full article

Oct 7 Report

Heres to current 1st place in my tournament, Capt Owens 6.8 lb’er. He knocked Jeff down to 2nd with his 5.8 lb’er. Then you have Queeny who isn’t in tournament weighing in her first citaion at 5 lb. Late Sept Update

Blow, Blow, Blow - thats the word. Had drum trip last weekend with 11 boats and alot of wind. Only 4 fish between 11 capts and I got skunked.
Cooler weather should pick up trout action, look for them to move into creeks as water temperature drops. I now have live shrimp in my tanks for those who chose not to catch your own. Call in advance to assure availablitity. Have everything else needed toread full article
