Thanksgiving 2014
The trout were as hungry as humans this Thanksgiving.
Took my annual T’Day trip with my brother in law Mike Seigh accompanying me for a short am trip before the feast. He shut me out but that’s my game on my boat – let others catch fish! Several nice quality trout then home for a feed.

Awesome Pre T’Day Events
It has been several interesting days around the shop and on the water.
Minn Kota repairs have been increasing daily and glad I can turn them around fairly quick.
Black Friday is close by – I will have DOA Shrimp trays
available in shop this weekend - just $17.99 for about $28.00 woth of normal Shrimp packs plus get a tackle tray. Only have 20 coming!

Cold Weather Trout
This made it feel like the old days when I had many a citation fish coming in! Christopher Harper caught this exceptional trout on a Mirrolure – weighed in at 5.40 lbs – hope this is sign of more to come this year. 
My shop is loaded with all the DOA CAls, Mirrolures, TFO rods with Daiwa reels to help u get these guys.

Tagging Trip
The trout bite is heating up – gotta move around but find one u will find 2, 3, …….. And the size is great, lots of 16-mid 20s fish. Did a tagging trip solo and had a fairly slow day – 8 nice trout – tagging 6 and deep frying 2. Largest was the thick 22 inch
that got tagged and released. I like eating the 16-18ers. Fishing DOA CALS and the Contentnea Creek hard plastics.

Early November Report
Had an excellent morning with Don and his son in law Sgt Blake of USMC. Started with am top water trout
and ended up with numerous real nice trout up to 21 on subsurface hard plastics - biggest coming on Contentnea Creeks Custom lure

- Hope this is a sign to come for the fall with cooler temps. I have got a few dates open through December for anyone wanting to target these trout or hitread full article

November Charter Special
With the current Neuse River conditions I have decided to do a November Trip Special for a limited number of trips based on fishery status conditions up river.
I will do a 3-4 hour top water and jigging for rock
in New Bern area and then take up and head down river or to Bay River in search of trout
for an additional 3-4 hours - breaking for lunch or nap!
