Early AM Top Water Action
Quick early bird trip out of Minnesott worth the alarm call!
Let dock at 5:45 am and had first rock
in boat at 6:15. 21”er hit the Unfair Lures bait the 2nd cast. He screwed up and ended up in live well. Several light rolls on bait then another dumby connected – almost twin to first rock

Scout Trip
Short windy scout trip looking for some action for 7 year old scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
I found some drum and a nice slot rock fast – hope they will still be hungry Saturday! First drum hit the Rapala Twitchin Rap coming to the boat at 18 ½ inch
. Switched up to Johnson spoon to try for more drum and first cast brought in the 16” under slot

Windy Top Water
Windy is relentless – still gotta go!
Fought it off Thursday morning to get a very short top water rock bite
with one coming on a DOA Cal rigged weedless
. Then it was off to find calm water to try for some trout that have been so on fire. Only found one hungry trout
and couple of short flounder.

TROUT ON FIRE
Great fun day that started out a tad late – sleepy heads!!!!! Missed first light top water but did find loads of trout. Graham was at awe with all the different lures on my console so I kept changing them for him and explaining how to use 0 WOLLA! Fish On! Use the new Unfair Lures Dinkin Mullet and Rip N Slash with great success to – You will find them in my shop soon!

A much needed Good Report
The weather and fishing has brightened up of late.
Trout and drum are being caught in good numbers and nice sized as a catch a release fishery right now. Good time to sharpen your techniques and skills before we are able to eat again!
The rock should be ready to move back down river to provide some awesome top water action.
Then – May brings the cobia which I hope will stay around a littleread full article

Fishy Hands
Got the fish smell on my hands today! Me and Michael headed up river to check on rock movement and see about a shad or 2. We didint connect on any rock - just gar and shad but sure felt good - and roe will be great in am eggs!
Good news on trout as well!
