Thanksgiving Report

Turkey day was a charter of brothers. My ritual this year was taking my two brothers and brother in law fishing. Challenging crew but Mike (brother in law) did it all, skunking the rest. Fished New Bern and pulled out 1 nice just under 7# rock and 1 trout. Fun AM then time to eat. All the families around the table – just what Thanksgiving and Christmas is all about.

Pre T’Day Report

Rainy day Friday resulted in a Good morning for my 2 guys, Mitch and Steven. I know Mitch had never caught speckled trout and finally got to do it with Mirrolures after earlier live shrimp bite. They were a lot of fun and troopers dealing with the rain and fog. Sent them to New Bern for rock in their boat for the afternoon but I think they had enough and didn’t make it!

November Update

Trout starting to stage up with good catches in rivers and creeks, with Brads 6.18 lb trout taking over 1st place for now in my tournament. Matt had another citation weighing in at 5.3 and Jon got close at 4.75, he needs Chris to get the 5#er!! Heard of a 10 lb fish last week as well. Hopefully rain will not kill us.

Early November

Trout are a little mixed up – in the creeks and back in the river. They are moving in as water cools but weather has varied water in temp of late.
I have had good reports since last update. A lot of quality fish in some places; just have to locate them. If you fish river and nothing – move into creek. Baits of choice still Mirrolure, DOA, and Gulp with Live Shrimp for live baiters, and boy doread full article
